Kathy Branquinho - Partner

Kathy has a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing Management from Manchester University, UK. A principal Communications, Change Management and Transformation consultant with 17 years of experience in the following industries: Financial Services, Information Technology, CRM, Banking, Energy & Petrochemical.

Her consulting experience over the past 14 years has been in the fields of Reengineering and Restructuring, High Performance Culture transformation, CRM (including Sales Force Automation and Call Centre Management), project based Change Management consulting and Project Management. Her consulting career has centred on developing inspiring, out-of-the-box solutions that transform peoples mindsets and behaviours whilst conforming to each organizational culture and identity.

Kathy's interests include reading, eating, trail-running and family (especially her husband and her 2 children, her 3 brothers, mom and dad and cuzzins!).

Ian Graney - Partner

Ian has a Bachelors Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Town. A principal Change Management and Learning Design consultant with 16 years of experience in the following industries: Retail, Education, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Financial, Banking and CRM.

His consulting experience over the last 16 years locally and internationally has been in the fields of Reengineering and Restructuring, Organisational Transformation, Change Management, Supervisory and Management Development Programs, Leadership and Team Development and Project Management. His consulting career has centered on optimizing employee performance though major transformation initiatives and the development of learning programmes to enable organisational renewal, growth and alignment.

Ian balances his consulting life being a husband to his amazing wife Samantha and dad to their children Matthew and Olivia. When time permits Ian is a passionate lover of cricket, an armchair journalist on rugby and has been known to play the odd round of golf!

Like most other members of this fantastic team, Ian prides himself on being a "foodie". He is excited by simple and honest foods that are unpretentious and are served with passion and pride.

He is also of the firm belief that the length of his nose was a gift from God allowing him to sniff out an excellent Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Noir.

Really all his passions are about delighting customers regardless of the industry - something we all try to do here at Change Solutions.

Esme Thwaits - Business Development and Resourcing Manager

Esme has a B.Soc.Science (UCT) and BA Honours Degree in Psychology(UNISA). She has recently completed a Masters degree in Futures Research at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. In addition she has obtained a Certificate in Project Management at the Faculty Training Institute.

She has worked as a Recruitment and Selection specialist in the following industries: Financial/Banking, Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, Petroleum and Telecommunications. She is a qualified Counsellor and Facilitator.Esme has filled the role of Key Account manager for an IT Contracting company and was appointed as Cape Town Branch Manager of their Professional Services Division which specialized in Project and Programme Management before joining the Smartsource Change management team.

She manages the Business Development and Resourcing portfolios at Smartsource Change Solutions on a national basis.

Balancing work and relaxation is important to her and a sense of humour is mandatory! She dabbles in painting, is an avid reader and has a family that are all passionate about surfing. She loves travelling and will never refuse an opportunity to explore new horizons.

Smartsource Change Solutions works with subcontractors as and when the need arises. Working with subcontractors gives us the flexibility to expand our resource base and source the correct expertise for the job at hand when required.

Subcontractors undergo a careful evaluation and selection process and remain under the guidance of senior team members ensuring delivery of the required Smartsource quality and standards is met.

Habitat for Humanity has been working in Africa since the organisation was founded in 1979. In 2005, the team from Smartsource Change Solutions got down and dirty in Nyanga by assisting in the building of a family�s home, through a Habitat for Humanity initiative. At Smartsource, we�re actively involved in the formulation of successful learnerships and privately sponsored job creation initiatives that focus on effecting a change in the inequality in the ICT sector. In addition to its bursaries, Smartsource Learning Solutions began a programme in 2003 to focus on the development and effective implementation of learnerships for PDIs [Previously Disadvantaged Individuals] - specifically within the ICT sector. The programme consists of selecting industry partners, identifying positions that need to be filled at local companies, selecting PDIs to fill the positions, and delivering the training and life skills required to qualify them for the position and allow for a smooth integration of the candidates into their new work environment.
